Coron, Palawan: A One of A Kind Journey

Coron, Palawan is one of the top 10 must visit islands in the Philippines. Coron is always a part of someone’s bucket list. Who wouldn’t be when the moment you step on the land you will be greeted with picturesque lakes and crystal clear seas. Tourists all around the world are crazy about it.

I am a lucky person to enjoy Coron, Palawan in an all-expense paid trip. My colleagues and I were able to experience the delightful island for 4 days and 3 nights.  Indeed, hard work really pays off.

How we enjoyed Coron

Day 1
We arrived at Busuanga Airport at around 12 noon. We checked in at Coron Westown Resort and took our lunch at Kawayanan Grill Station - their food is great, I recommend it. Then, we spent the rest of the day in the island with a Havana night.

Day 2
We went for a Coron Island Tour, an island hopping adventure where we visited the 7 highlight destinations in Coron.

Kayangan Lake
Twin Lagoons
Balinsasayaw Reef
Beach 91
Skeleton Wreck
Malwawey Reef and Coral Garden
CYC Beach

Day 3
Sadly, I got sick and wasn’t able to join the group for the Calauit Safari Tour. I stayed in the hotel the entire day trying to recover. But here are some of the photos of the group during the tour.

Day 4
We explored Maquinit Hot Spring and then flew back home to Cebu.

Expensive entrance fee of P200 each

IMPORTANT REMINDERS:

1.     Be careful on what to eat – most of us got Diarrhea after the island hopping tour. We are not sure where we got it, it might be from the Lunch buffet at Beach 91 or the ice candy that we bought in CYC Beach, we’ll never know.
2.     Bring Eco-Friendly Sunscreen – so that no marine creature will be harmed.
3.     It is advisable to bring AQUA Shoes for safety purposes.
4.     Snorkelling gears are available for rent at Php150
5.     Enjoy the trip and leave no trace.
